So that's a lipdub UNIVERSITY EDITION.
Here are some lipdub's done by some universities:
Boston University: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mw6I51UE1W8
THE ORIGINAL LIBDUB (Germany): http://www.youtube.com/watch?gl=DE&hl=de&v=tVRrjxtm9Pk&fmt=18
Well, that brings me to the masterpiece that is LipDub CALVIN COLLEGE. I cannot say enough about this video. As I have said before, I have seen other LipDub videos, from other universities, and I'm sorry, but they have nothing on this video. The vocals are PERFECTLY synced in time, the ideas for different scenes are creative and funny, and the song is perfect. Beyond Amazing and I Loved every second of it.
This makes me proud to have gone to Calvin College. An amazing job done by everyone involved.
And without further adu, LipDub CALVIN COLLEGE EDITION:

My question is this. When did people assume that to be a Christian you had to be submissive and OKAY with people walking all over you? I'm serious. Do you see it? Happening in our streets, on our talk shows, in our bookstores.
The problem is this. If we as believers are to rise up and take back what we believe, it is about being united. Breast Cancer. One issue. Easy to unite under. MANY women are affected by this or know someone who has had it. A single issue is 100 times easier to unite under than a complicated one. Just TRY and think about all the different believers coming together for one cause...........Chaos. Not only do most believers believe different things, but they also are under different denominations and HOLD to it tightly. We focus so hard on the things that make us different, that we forget about the things that make us the same. Let me say that again. We focus SO HARD on the things that make us different, that we forget about the things that make us the same.
Can all believers unite under Love? A massive Love movement spreading across this country that makes the hardest Cynic do a double take. They will know us by our Love. I believe that. John 15:12-13 Love each other as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends. Make it simple people. Make it about Love. For God so LOVED this world. Common people. Unite under a simple issue and lets become united to bring Jesus to hurting people. Don't bring in robes, don't bring in your rituals. Don't bring in your thee's, thou's, or thine's. Your his, hers, or mine's. Don't bring your tedious, picky or strenuous doctrine. LOVE. I'm not sayin' all we need is Love, but it's a start.
UNITE FOR LOVE. bring it.

But I, when they were sick— I wore sackcloth; I afflicted myself with fasting; I prayed with head bowed on my chest.Psalm 109:24My knees are weak through fasting; my body has become gaunt, with no fat.Daniel 6:18Then the king went to his palace and spent the night fasting; no diversions were brought to him, and sleep fled from him.Matthew 4:2And after fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry.
I don’t know what you think about this, but…this is INTENSE STUFF! These men of God knew what was up when it came to hearing the voice of God. When they needed an answer to a decision, they humbled out…and came before HIM.
As I read through the scripture and all the particular scripture that mentions “fast”….a theme began to emerge. Whenever “fast,” was mentioned in the Bible, men were seeking God. Whenever they needed to GO to God and talk with Him…they knew that they would best hear His voice through prayer and fasting. The two were always together.
You see, when we fast…I am talking about from food…we deprive ourselves of the thing that we have so much of. This brings us outside of our comfort zone. Everywhere we now go, we are reminded of food. We see it, smell it, hear about it…crave it. It also weakens us. It forces us to rely on Christ for strength. Whenever I have fasted, I worked out a system. Everytime my stomach girggles, I pray. Easy as that. Everytime I think about food, I pray. Everytime I feel tempted to go back to food I pray. I AM NOT LEGALISTIC. If I need to eat, I do. The way I take pills is with food. During one fast, I had to take a few pills…with food. No Big Deal. THE POINT is hearing God more clearly…by humbling ourselves to LISTEN.
There is a story in the Bible about a king who was threatened with war upon his city. The troops were beginning to surround the walls. His advisors were going nuts. What did he do? He went off into a secluded room…he prayed and fasted. WOW. seriously. Wow. THIS MAN knew what the most important thing to do was. He KNEW that he had no chance on his own. So he consulted God. I want this faith!
Love you All. Prayer always.

This day is important to me. I am a Christian. Today, in this culture I live in, that is not an easy label to place upon myself. It is sad to see how it has evolved, but I live in it anyway. I follow Christ and his teachings found in the Gospels. Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. His life was real. He walked in the Middle East. He healed in the communities. He taught where he could. He prayed where he should. He loved all. He followed the call. He only spoke truth. He called us to become youth. He is the life and the way. His body, they brutally sleigh. A man for silver betray. The Promise fulfilled! RISEN ON THE THIRD DAY!!
Jesus...My life is to glorify you. Through these three days, I renew.

Now for some music that you may not know about. This guy may be old news to some of you, but I wouldn't blame you if you've never heard of him before. It is very different, and most likely the only of its kind. Matisyahu. Check him out here to know a bit more about him. He is a very cool guy.
Also a free download of his song "King Without A Crown".
